Ethylene is a colorless flammable gas at normal pressure and temperature with lively properties. Its boiling point is -103.71°C, critical temperature is 9.90°C, critical pressure is 4.95MPa, and critical density is 0.227kg/L.

Ethylene is one of the most basic raw materials of petrochemical industry. In terms of synthetic materials, ethylene is widely used in the production of polyethylene, vinyl chloride, polyvinyl chloride, ethylbenzene, etc. In terms of organic synthesis, it is widely used in the synthesis of ethanol, acetic acid, propionic acid and its derivatives and other basic organic synthesis raw materials .

Ethylene is also an important basic raw material for organic chemicals, mainly used in the production of polyethylene, ethylene-propylene rubber, and polyvinyl chloride.

Processus

The industrially used ethylene production methods include petroleum hydrocarbon cracking, ethanol catalytic dehydration, coke oven gas separation, etc. Due to the abundance of oil and natural gas resources, large-scale production of ethylene has low cost and good quality. We provide a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for each batch, primarily based on gas chromatography testing. Customers may also choose to verify through third-party testing agencies.

What should be checked before opening the cylinder?

Inspect the integrity of the cylinder, ensure that the pressure regulator is clean and dry, and purge the pipeline system with high-purity inert gas to prevent air contamination.

What is the product packaging format?

Currently supplied in DOT 47L cylinders, equipped with DISS 724 valves, with a filling weight of 19 kg.

What should be done in case of leakage?

Immediately eliminate all ignition sources, evacuate non-essential personnel, shut off the leak source if possible, ensure adequate ventilation, and contact professional emergency response teams.

Can this product be used directly in food-related applications?

No. This product is an industrial-grade high-purity gas. Although the purity is extremely high, it has not been certified for food-grade use and is not suitable for food processing or preservation.

Is the purity consistent across different batches?

Yes. We maintain strict quality control systems to ensure stable purity across all batches. A detailed Certificate of Analysis is provided with each shipment to guarantee consistency.

How to choose the proper regulator and pipeline materials?

It is recommended to use stainless steel regulators and pipelines with electropolished inner walls. Avoid copper, rubber, or other materials that may introduce impurities.

How should residual gas be handled?

Maintain at least 0.2 MPa residual pressure in the cylinder to prevent backflow of air. Waste gas disposal must comply with local environmental regulations and be carried out by certified professionals.

What precautions should be taken during transportation?

Transport must comply with hazardous chemical transportation regulations. Cylinders should be securely fastened, protected from direct sunlight and rain, transported separately from oxidizers, and accompanied by appropriate fire-fighting equipment.
